Most teams are excited about AI because it writes code fast.

The real change is that it shifts where mistakes happen – from syntax to assumptions.

That’s a senior engineering problem, not a tooling one.

I've built systems for a decade, but a year rebuilding search forced me to refine my approach.

It’s not that core principles are wrong, it's that their application in a complex, user-facing domain is non-obvious.

5 reframings that were critical to our success. 🧵

Your LLM-as-a-Judge system has a secret: It's biased.

And it's silently killing your product while your dashboards are green.

Here are the 5 biases you need to fix *now* if you want to build AI you can trust. 🧵

It’s time to look into functional programming with

„Getting Clojure: Build Your Functional Skills One Idea at a Time“

I've written a full guide with code examples and the 4 core principles for writing AI-ready Python tests.
It's the playbook for harnessing AI speed without sacrificing quality.

Augmented Coding, Amplified Risk: Why Type-Safe Python Tests Matter More Than Ever | Sebastian Sigl
AI coding assistants are accelerating development—but also magnifying quality risks. Here’s how to write Python tests that survive refactors, scale with your codebase, and tame the chaos of augmented ...

The AI Productivity Paradox is real.

Devs are 55% faster with tools like Copilot. But new 2025 research shows code duplication is up 8x and refactoring is down 40%.

We're shipping faster, but are we building legacy code from day one?

A thread on how to fix it. 🧵

🔥The uncomfortable truth for many tech companies: your hiring process is stuck in the past.

While you're testing for textbook data structures, the real world demands skill in guiding AI, reviewing its output, and integrating it effectively.

Is your AI coding assistant just a fancy autocomplete? 🤔 We're on the cusp of something bigger: Agentic Coding.

This isn't just about AI suggesting code, but autonomously tackling complex development tasks.

My take: LLMs won't overhaul how we write software, but they'll definitely boost areas like no-code, empowering non-engineers. Pink glasses on: the tedious stuff gets easier to automate! 🚀 #AI #SoftwareDevelopment #LowCode

Microsoft is open sourcing Copilot for VS Code (Satya Nadella just announced this on BUILD)

Just like the VS Code open sourcing, this is counter-intuitive on why: now MUCH easier for startups to create “improved clones” of Copilot

BUT it makes VS Code more dominant: (cont’d)

It's fantastic to see TDD gaining traction, especially with LLMs transforming code generation.

The ability of TDD to provide a clear specification and immediate verification for AI-assisted development is amazing. Code quality is up, and feedback loops are tight.

🤔 Has anyone seen significant statistics comparing coding speed:

Fast Coders 🆚 Fast Coders with AI Support?

Thinking of running a self-experiment:
⏱️ 30 minutes every day
🗓️ For 30 days
📊 Tracking 10 metrics
🔄 Using TCR (TDD on steroids)
