So far so good. I've tested at least half of my collection and they're all fine. Maybe not as much of a problem as I thought?

Yeah, I'm testing each cartridge since there was someone on the internet who discovered some of their 3DS cartridges weren't working anymore (or were corrupted).

Apparently they're based on the same memory that Wii U uses (NAND), so if you don't use them every so often, you risk corruption in time.

If it turns out there's a pattern with the 1st-party games being fine, I would assume degradation happens more with third-party games? The examples I've seen so far seem to indicate that. 🤔

Also, real talk: I'd forgotten how good 3D Land is! Also the 3D effect is also quite nifty in that one. 👍

Yeah, I'll do that. Interestingly, I played Super Mario 64 DS again in the last year and that seemed to be fine despite being 21 years old now. Last time I played it was at least 8+ years ago, I think!

Oof. Really hoping some carts like Starfox 64 3D and Super Mario 3D Land still work...
