Of course, seeing plenty of drama and nonsense already too. Comes with the territory I suppose. Hopefully I can effectively keep it at arms length here.

That is part of my excitement around ATProto though: being able to write and share more and have engagement and distribution built into the protocol while I can own my own data. Whether it's short or long form is a separate concern.

I could just focus more on posting / sharing here (doing that now!) and let the conversations come to me? I suppose that's kind of how this form of social media works.

Part of the reason I stay away from this form of social media is, like many, I can too easily get stuck scrolling and I kind of hate it. I've really leaned more into RSS for people I want to follow and love the pacing of it, and the intention that goes into it.

A lot more engagement on my out of the blue "sup bsky" post than I expected. Is the primary bsky algorithm (relay? is that the layer that happens at?) surfacing this to encourage me to stay? 🙃
