Ezri laid the foundation, Sisko more or less ordered it. He knew, and Worf knew, what he was asking.

I made a gift links feed a while back, but I seldom check it. Most of it is North American news and analysis but I'd actually like quite a lot less of that in 2026.

This was also subsequent:
The most important thing in today's Epstein files may involve 4chan. In 2011, Epstein met with 4chan creator Christopher "moot" Poole; that same day, Poole launched the /pol/ board that 3 years later would be the heart of Gamergate. And Gamergate was the start of the movements that led to Jan 6. 1/
he also appears to have met moot the same day /pol/ was (re)launched (not my image)

That's inherent to the concept of virality - it contains the requirement to throw shit at a wall until something sticks. You just need to identify a cheap/free resource that's happy to waste time throwing shit around. These days bad actors can fully automate that task in realtime.

I don't think it's anything like a plan, I think it's just a set of techniques that you start using until they take on a life of their own.

Just found this thread...

There were others in Epstein's circle who were thinking along these lines. Bannon, for example. You're correct that there's not enough to be certain, but I think there is enough for this to be a realistic possibility.

@notsaved.bsky.social, @clivehenry.bsky.social ^^^ you seeing this? ^^^

Wrote a post elsewhere that I'll screengrab below. Realistic possibility that this connection hints at /pol/ being a deliberate psyop to bootstrap a vicious circle race to the bottom to test which shit might float.

/pol/ seems like an effective laboratory of acceptionalism; a place to test which hateful motivators can escape containment and get picked up and accepted by the normies. tbf, that's all social media to some degree; it's just that the shittiest of 4chan is using it to take over the world.

My bad, he's a Liverpudlian, he just lived in Croydon.

^^^ This is absolutely how you should run an empire.

@notsaved.bsky.social you here in 2026?

Ben Kingsley's Trevor Slattery is one of those weird artefacts that Marvel does because the people who work there are chaotic. Let's burn comic fans with a joke twist character who's an actor from Croydon. Now let's put him in scenes with Tony Leung and Awkwafina. Now let's give him his own show.
