Piratical author & purveyor of all things fantastical, dark & weird (and silly).
India Muerte pirate fantasy. The Fifth Place weird west. How Not to Kill Yourself non-fic.
I started showing my girlfriend this film recently - just had to take a pause at the halfway point and hoping to continue soon! My favourite samurai film next to 13 Assassins (which owes everything to Seven Samurai).

I wouldn't dare attempt a current-year list. My overall list of creative projects must be in the 40s by now and only grows. Bad news, I'll die before I'm finished. Good news, I'll never run out of ideas 😊
Looking forward to what you come up with next!

Is the horseriding real life or a game?

I'm so sorry for the stress and instability. You deserve to get rich solely off the backs of your own stories if anyone does. It should be easier (financially) to be an author than it is 🙃

I've only just moved her on to human POVs after multiple Necron and Ork books. I was curious how an outside>in approach would go for her. She says it's meant that thinking about 40k is always going to be coloured for her with an enjoyable background feeling of "what the fuck?"

And Twice Dead King is even better!

It was so good! My favourite adaptation of it (low bar). Although perhaps the ending was a mite too saccharine (if we interpret Victor having a change of heart). Interesting parental themes.
Also the "You are the monster" was a bit too on the nose.
Excellent cinematography. Unsure about the accents!

Maybe it's the bullying that made them this way.

It's got such a big reputation among goths but when I got to it I was kinda baffled, found it a bit silly and camp (but not good camp). Much preferred the new Nosferatu.

I've always found it weirdly overrated. It's such an oddly executed film.
