One of my favorite early Image gimmicks was how Overtkill would appear in both Spawn and Liefeld's books. Almost every fight would end with his head being decapitated and thrown into the other book like Rob and Todd playing volleyball.

Having been to many conventions and meet many artists, never Have I seen an artist leave tools out in dirty disorganized manner. Even if they are painting at the con they tend to keep their brushes clean and paints organized. This is clearly done intentionally to trick people.
