Unfortunately, NATO may not survive Trump 2.0 (or subsequent US administrations whatever they could be), hence the real quest is for EU, with Ukraine as a member state, to start working on common defence policy equalling or surpassing the notion of the defence alliance.

i am not exactly fluent in russian and hate PuTin to the core. but did not he say that it is others who, for money and profit, would fight to the last Ukrainian?
the most important takeaway is the confirmation that he wants all 4 illegally annexed oblasts. that's no to any peace plan.

aside of total injustice of the plan (or part of the plan leaked into media, perhaps by muscovite called K), the impact on US defense industry should be profound. nobody will be buying American weapons, if US blocks or complicates its usage in dire need.
