The fluffy sewing supervisor would much rather have been out in the garden than at the vet’s for his annual vaccinations. Apparently it is difficult to listen to a cat’s heart if they insist on purring very loudly while it is being attempted.

I've blogged (does anyone else still blog?) about my sewing activity last month, including an update on my Tiny Nine Patch Challenge quilt. You can read about it on Blogspot or Wordpress:

How It Started How It's Going

I made the first of the tiny nine patches in January 2024 and a few days ago I finished the first part of the quilt top. The tiny nine patches are 1.5" finished and there are 550 in the top. Next is a pieced border, also made of tiny squares.

Last year I made over 500 tiny nine patch blocks as part of a sewalong/challenge (read more about it at reproquiltlover.com/tiny-nine-pa...). I didn’t get to the quilt assembly part so that will be this year’s project. Each block is 1.5” finished size (UK 5p and 1 cent Euro coin for scale).

A bit about me - I'm in the UK and like to sew. My most used sewing machine is a Husqvarna but I have a quite a few other machines that probably would be considered vintage by now. I sew mainly patchwork quilts, but have been known to sew other items.

Today seems a good a day as any to move here from that other place.
