Right now on my campus, UC is giving more space to Hillel and its subsidiaries led by emeriti and non-affiliates than it does to Jewish students of all viewpoints.

That's a huge problem and reflects a limitation in UC's vision of institutional neutrality.

That vision gives bullies more airtime.

This essay articulates something too many UC leaders aren't thoughtful about. Jewish safety on campus means holding space for Jewish students to think, speak, express themselves too.

Compulsory Zionism damages all of us, *and* it harms Jewish students' experiences in ways that demand attention.

It's true and Dartmouth faculty, students, staff (and all the rest of us) have to keep pressure on all our admins.

(I'm comparing it to UC President Milliken, who today unapologetically told faculty he was cooperating with Trump on key fronts. We haven't even seen words here yet, let bold actions!)

All charges brought against protesters at Broadview today must be dropped. When cops and agents attack crowds without provocation, they make shit up to justify their attacks (in his case, an attack waged on a cooperative crowd to produce fascist social media content). 10. "enforcement:" university admins under this compact report their compliance annually. They report to the Department of Justice, on pain of lost public funding and blocking of private donations.

8. "foreign entanglements:" reporting of gifts to Trump admin so they may veto gifts they see as "supporting terrorism." DOJ admissions oversight so they may deny applicants they believe are "anti-western." Students must be approved for "Western values." No more than 15% international students.

7. "financial responsibility:" federal control of tuition costs and mandated termination of staff; closure of programs beyond the sciences. Elimination of tuition in select "hard science" disciplines as defined by Trump admin, with connection to military applications.

6. "student equality:" no tolerance or recognition for trans students in housing, sports, etc. And no recognition for student complaints or disciplinary action related to students' protected categories (ironically, undoing Title VI while Trump is engaged in Title VI investigations nationwide).

5. "student learning:" no grade inflation. Revocation of funds for universities found by Trump admin to have engaged in it.
