👏 Congratulations to our August LimeLight Honoree: Dylan Schneider, Manager of Legislative Affairs!

Dylan is a trusted leader and diplomatic voice for HSH. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and heart for the mission make her an invaluable part of our team.

Powerful story from @sfstandard.com‬: Douglas Liu, once a fugitive, is now a Night Navigator in SF’s Tenderloin, offering Narcan, food, and referrals to those struggling with addiction. A moving example of lived experience leading outreach.

We're proud to recognize Cody’s work and leadership and continue the momentum sparked during Disability Pride Month—because access, dignity, and inclusion must be year-round priorities.

“Accessibility benefits everyone,” Cody says.

Ramps, elevators, automatic doors, these features help everyone, including people with disabilities. They make our services more usable, safe, welcoming, and effective for all.
sfhsh.bsky.social
Cody is helping build a stronger foundation:
🚪 New site reviews to identify physical barriers
📄 Clear, public grievance policies
🧑‍🏫 Consistent staff training across our provider network
sfhsh.bsky.social
“Our system must be accessible by design, not by exception,” Cody says. “That means considering mobility and cognitive, and sensory access needs when we create programs, open new sites, and respond to complaints.”
sfhsh.bsky.social
Cody’s work focuses on 4 pillars:
✅ Consulting on program and site accessibility
✅ Training HSH + provider staff on disability rights
✅ Investigating grievances
✅ Leading an ADA self-evaluation and transition plan
sfhsh.bsky.social
Cody brings over a decade of passionate civil rights experience, and lived experience with disability and housing instability. Before he joined, ADA responsibilities were divided among staff. Now, this work is finally getting the focus and expertise it deserves.

For the first time in our department’s history, @SF_HSH has a dedicated ADA Coordinator—part of our commitment toward making San Francisco’s Homelessness Response System accessible, inclusive, and equitable. Meet Cody A. Eliff.🧵
