I wonder if this is a concession to not be a Hard Knocks team this year now that playoff teams can be forced to participate.

I’ve only seen 28 days later and enjoyed it. Can I jump right into Bone temple or should I really watch the other sequels first?

Neither are great matchups for SF but they would probably prefer going to LA. Closed roof, neutralized home field advantage, and a less stingy defense.

Do you know if other PFWA chapters give similar awards for the teams they cover? I’m curious which other players around the league are media good guys.

Do you see any obvious fits for Saleh in the current HC vacancies? After the Jets I’m not sure he’d want to go to notoriously dysfunctional teams like CLE or LV and many of the other teams just fired defensive minded coaches.

That would be great!

You mentioned on the pod that your critique of Purdy is his gunslinger/gambling nature that shows up in some throws. Is there any data showing whether or not he has had better luck than other quarterbacks with these throws? On the same note, have the turnover worthy plays declined since Carolina?

Yes

Assuming SF/SEA ends up being for the one seed, which game do you think they will flex into SNF? I’m guessing the AFC North title game with Rodgers and Lamar but I think SF/SEA still has a chance to get tapped.

Any updates to your Fred Warner return probabilities?

In honor of his upcoming return to the booth, do you have any fun Greg Papa stories?

I wish the Giants viewed signing international FAs as long-term investments that will generate new revenue streams in the future instead of just another expense. Baggs made an interesting point about the team maybe wanting to placate Sixth Street since PE firms are notoriously short-term focused.

For me it’s bottom up. Top-down wastes too many lights just running from outlet to tree. Plus if the tree is in a place where it can be seen from all sides the strand running from outlet to top of tree looks bad.

Colt McCoy and James Conner really took advantage of the extra hour of rest for that one.

Are these minority purchases by families and individuals considered “private equity” sales under that 10% PE rule the NFL created a while back?

So long, Doug Bowser.

I agree with the Barrows Pillow Theory that these turf fields are even worse for teams that play and practice on grass. Would love to see owner pressure to standardize everyone on grass but I doubt that’s ever happening especially with Dallas being a turf field.

Next week will be telling but to me the true GPS game will be at Rams. First prime time game for the rookies, likely to have Purdy back, Demarcus will be on the field and Rams are looking like a strong contender for the division so long as Stafford is healthy.

Do they pay the player a fee and cover their travel costs in this type of scenario?
September 12, 2025 at 9:05 PM
They’ve certainly set themselves up to do some memory making down the stretch here.
September 12, 2025 at 3:08 AM
It’s just one game and the defense only gave up 17 but is there cause for concern with the defensive rookies? Stout, Collins, and Williams were all bottom 5 PFF graded for the unit. Stout in particular was targeted quite a bit and Williams was a first rounder…

What would you set his o/u for games played this season?
September 7, 2025 at 3:59 PM
If someone asked me to pick a game, irrespective of how the team is doing, to have lower attendance it would be this one. A Tuesday game immediately following a holiday weekend, school just started, and a not insignificant chunk of the SF population just got back from Burning Man yesterday.
