Another one for you, if you've got the time: What about the players who have said they came to Spurs bc of Ange?

Do you worry about young players that he convinced to come wanting to leave if he is gone? I do.

I think unless they see a healthy team failing under him, they may blame the club.

Fair point -- though I question the usefulness of that training given how exceptionally busy the schedule has been and that they have likely had to take it light in training (though that's of course speculation).

I appreciate the engagement on here. Spurs aren't fun right now but I still have hope.

Harry went on four loans -- that's quite different, IMO. Social media was also radically different then, as was player use of it, and I think the abuse factor is significant.

Additionally, without any open weeks for training, you're asking them to slot in without any experience with those players.

While I would've loved to see more academy players, what happens if (likely when) one of them makes the types of mistakes we've been seeing? How does that stunt their growth, ruin their confidence? And especially if they start receiving abuse... I have seen these decisions as protecting them.

Is there something to the idea that throwing academy kids in when the team is already in bad form, with senior players who are exhausted, and in front of a fan base that has shown an unfortunate level of online abuse directed toward players (i.e. Brennan) would be more detrimental to them?

Am way too angry at 6:40 a.m. listening to this.
