Elites in the periphery of the Anglo world do not seem to grasp that it is not American hegemony that is collapsing but the very Anglo hegemony they identify with.

Perhaps a European refusal to pay tribute to the self-constructed myth of Anglo exceptionalism - predominantly British or American but embracing all of the Five Eyes club. Seeing us as living through the collapse of Anglo hegemony appears to explain much including Trump and Brexit.

I seem to recall that the ICC only has jurisdiction in war crimes prosecutions if national legal systems do not undertake investigations.

Isn’t there an opportunity to deploy different transmission technologies like low temperature superconductors? Some regions in Australia used existing rail corridors to roll out high-speed internet backbones.
