There are many reasons to dislike Amazon - the “Melania” bribe being a big one - but these numbers don’t paint the picture you think. I worked there for years, and an average coder costs ~$200k/yr. So Jassy’s salary plus the documentary price would have saved 575 of those 29,000 jobs for one year.
