He clearly wasn't their first choice and his defenses are still having the exact same issues they've been having forever. I'm not saying he should definitely be fired, but it's worth discussing because with an easier schedule and (presumably) better injury luck, next year is a real opportunity.

I don't care about any particular team getting left out. Maryland is never making the CFP. But it is funny/infuriating how no matter how many iterations of playoff selection criteria we go through, and how many teams are in the field, there's always someone left out for self-conflicting reasons.
