More Gundam Mudrock progress.
I think I wanna add some more colour separation to the backpack as it having so much black is a bit much. Also switching out the beam rifle was the play here for sure.

All joints have been painted in gunmetal
Painted the all the gray armour to a darker shade
More detail painted on the legs, back skirt and side skirts

And thats another project wrapped up, the HGUC S Gundam is finally finished! My first time working with a kit this old and whilst it's not perfect I wanna believe I did my dues to paying homage to such a cool design. Truly a rite of passage for modellers.

We now have the whole lower body complete! There is a lot of seamlines due to parts primarily just being sandwiched together. I'm telling you there is a great sculpt trapped in here, you just gotta bring it out!

HG S Gundam WIP
We now have the whole lower body complete! There is a lot of seamlines due to parts primarily just being sandwiched together. I'm telling you there is a great sculpt trapped in here, you just gotta bring it out!

HG S Gundam WIP
Shoulders & arms all painted up. Switched out the hands for a set of 30MM hands. Got fists, holding hands & open hands all ready to go. Much better than the default set you get with the kit.
Though I fear the dark gray I painted the hands with is a bit TOO dark

HG S Gundam WIP time
Everything that isn't white on the kit is getting repainted. Decided to go with a darker shade of blue, brighter shade of red and yellow orange so far.
Painting the head vents was really annoying but hey that's what a kit from 2001 will ask of you.

Also whilst I've been away I may or may not have made some irresponsible purchases. That Wave Shooter Zeta was something I'd been eyeing for a whilr and seeing the Kampfer Amazing reprint was everything I coulda asked for!

Speaking of projects what's next? We're going back to 2001 as it's the HG S Gundam! While I'm still not sure if I have skills to truly bring out the beauty in this kit, now is as good as ever to try. Plus that backlog has to go down.

In pursuit of the backlog needing to be focused on I'm gonna be calling this project done & dusted for now. Gundam Zeta Survive is now done! Really proud with how this came out.
Made using parts from the Revive Zeta, Zeta Plus, ZII, Lightning Zeta and Gundam MK-III.
