Honestly I hadn't been bothered by the "slog" part so far : really enjoyed all the books.. Except this one that was excruciatingly slow, I never felt the slog like before 💀

Agreed! Rand has a very unique status that's hard to deal with.
I just wish people would talk more and try to take a step towards the other instead of cutting all that ties them!

I've already forgotten many details of the previous books so I could be wrong, but as far as my understanding goes I thought most of the men bonded chose to, bc they are scared of either other Aes Sedai or the Black Tower, I'm not very sure...?
But there's definitely a power dynamic at play here.

Also, call me soft but I don't like this way of thinking!! I hate people treating each other like strangers thinking it's the best way to make choices. Friendship and empathy are so important, don't dehumanise each other for the sake of impartiality 😔💔

I'm glad Egwene's Aes Sedai saw sense and agreed to form an alliance with the Black Tower. The only logical thing to do to prepare for Tarmon Gai'don. It will be hard but not harder than facing the shadows!
