Can't unsee the color palette

Maybe some ideas:
.) Repeat visits to the same show (I'm someone who attens multiple times to shows I love)
.) Cast recordings pro and cons live and studio recording
.) "Freshening up" classics or let them the way they were written/staged? Phantom as an example.

I have a soft spot for some jukebox musicals, but that's mostly because I love the music and almost never for their storytelling. There's a lot of room for improvement imo. And: I'd love to see a new musical with the catalogue of the original music by Sara Bareilles, Tori Amos or Ingrid Michaelson.

I will personally die on that hill that Evita is the best musical adaptation movie ever made. The camera, the sound, the costumes... I often have a hard time loving movie musicals. This one is exceptional.

I don't think I remember any other explicit 10 year extension like that, if you exclude some of the staple open end runs who don't explicitly tell you how long they're actually planning to stay, but they do. Any other show that comes to mind? @mickeyjotheatre.bsky.social @aeronjamesuk.bsky.social

I think the more the merrier, cause not everything will be everybody's cup of tea. You'll be able to choose the additional theatre content that brings you joy. For me, living far away from Broadway and the the West End, it provides more access to a world I can only visit so often in person.

But in all seriousness, I agree. Last year I made an attempt to visit more shows with lush sets, cause I really started to miss them. Taking one element away (set, big orchestra, ensemble, costuming) results in putting more focus on the rest.

Where's the revival? The Waitress crowd would eat it up.
