Hahahaha hope my Steam Deck OLED holds up until... forever i think

The motion clarity in the Switch 2 screen it's really bad, it's not going to solve the issue; if it was a screen with a small time response time (like 7ms in the ROG Ally) then it would be a possibility yes, but it's not the case here.

Color vibrant i would say it's ok, but pixel response time its a downgrade even from the original Nintendo Switch.

Except the screen, is a downgrade from the Switch OLED

Any prevision for a replacement screen to the Switch 2 with better pixel response?

I've also been playing "Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo" which is a 2D game inspired on the Game Boy Zelda; it's a good game to check the motion blur, because there are areas where the background is static and you can notice the motion blur on the characters in the screen.

I usually focus on the area around the character, or if it's a fast paced game, the area where the character is going. On the Switch 2 screen, i first noticed the motion blur when playing Super Smash Bros Ulimate and noticing additional blur on the fighters.

Hey bob, did you noticed any motion blur/ghosting issues? I know it's an LCD but to me it looks awful and @dark1x.bsky.social posted an slow-motion video showing it.
June 7, 2025 at 5:33 PM
What do you think about the motion blur on it? For me it's almost worse than on a Switch lite.
June 7, 2025 at 5:29 PM
Really doubt Nintendo would do that, even if this issue was more talked and noticed by the general public.
June 6, 2025 at 8:08 PM
Do you think this would be possible to solve with a patch or on software side? I have the impression that the blur is more noticeable on Switch 1 games than on Switch 2 (although your post shows a Switch 2 game)
June 6, 2025 at 6:02 PM
Same! I'm thinking seriously in returning it and getting a Steam Deck OLED until there is a Switch 2 with OLED screen.
June 6, 2025 at 2:37 PM
Hey John, could you please give your opinion regarding the motion blur in the LCD screen? I'm comparing it to my Switch OLED and it's really noticiable, wasn't expecting that.

More people need to play it, but there is no need for more games to have a puzzle like that (once in a lifetime was enough).

Does anyone knows if this works with an European account?

Great video, i agree with your opinion regarding the world of ToTK; we've already discovered it in BoTW and the sky islands/depth leave much to be desired.
It's still an awesome game, but there is not a lot more to visit/do just because it's 60 fps now.

Also living in Portugal, i had to resort to the radio in car to be able to have some kind of news. Your post inspired me in geting an old (and cheap) good quality radio, instead of buying a cheap new one at temu/aliexpress/local chinese store.

Tried it for a few days after it was released (hoping mostly for Nintendo Switch 2 teases before the direct) and then unistalled it.
Nintendo doesn't have enough daily news to warrant an app for it, and the daily posts of 3D mock-ups of racing wheels it not really that interesting.

Here's something that i really didn't need to read today

Tambem se sente na Linha de Sintra e Oeiras, parece mais um cheiro de enxofre?

I know, i was refering to the Ps5; in the video, Bob only tested the Portal with the Ps5 connected by Wifi and not hardwired
November 30, 2024 at 3:55 PM
Hardwire means connecting by ethernet right? Was there a reason for you to not test it with this method and only wifi? (Not complaining, just curious)
