It's so obvious that they're tiptoeing around something more than what Myste has done. Sid keeps watching her when he thinks she isn't looking, which is often, since D'alia won't even look him in the eyes, despite her constant fretting over his bandaged wounds. But anytime Rielle has tried to ask if things are amiss, she's brushed off with a too cheery change of subject or grumbling that all is fine. Whatever. If they want to pretend for the sake of Myste and her, then fine. They're not her parents, but she imagines this is what normal ones must act like sometimes. Maybe. Not that she's ever going to admit that to them, though. But it does make her imagine Sid stammering through an explanation that of course they're not, they're not even together, not like that, and D'alia flushing scarlet and fidgeting through it, which could be funny. Rielle sighs, plucking a blade of grass and twirling it between her fingers. If they only realized how much they acted like the dumb, oblivious kids.
