I was talking with a buddy at the CGSC and this scenario came up. Since Russia might not have the forces to take Kiev, a main attack through the "Sulwaki Gap" to cut off the Baltic states. In combination with a spoiling attack through the Lutsk corridor towards Livi could isolate Kyiv.
