Please, even if you don't CARE if genAI is used for something like this, at the very least understand that actors were striking with genuine concerns and that Mihoyo, who just last month posted job applications for opportunities to work on their games using AI, do not have their protections in mind.
Anyway here's Mihoyo promoting AI assisted game production including:
"Efficiency in Image and Material Generation
With very few materials, they can generate character model sheets + 3D models, allowing for the testing of multiple designs and their artistic outcomes."

Please, even if you don't CARE if genAI is used for something like this, at the very least understand that actors were striking with genuine concerns and that Mihoyo, who just last month posted job applications for opportunities to work on their games using AI, do not have their protections in mind.

The consumption and regurgitation of people's work without credit or compensation. The sheer mental toll it takes on people.
