What's really interesting is when you see the patterns of artists on book covers or albums..like someone's art has caught on and now from the pool they are preferred...

I learned that a pub company/record label has a pool of artists and, most times, an author or musician is given selections of cover art to pick from. They don't necessarily have the control until the have market demand. Those artists don't get individual credit because IP doesn't belong to them.
