I want people to understand that If you're using generative ai to produce images, then you are not an artist. There is no such thing as an ai artist. You are the opposite of an artist, a charlatan, because you are stealing other people's work to make your images.

Don't use my post to spread disinformation. Generating text and images uses a sizable amount of energy as it runs its algorithms on the datasets it has to produce results and in the case of images, it produces multiple outputs each costing a not insignificant amount of energy.

I took a couple pictures of last night's aurora from Massachusetts. Brightened em a touch, faint but pretty.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #1,018,138!
It's worth celebrating a little.
