totally off topic - but timely with word-nerd and sheep references so thought you'd like ...
In Icelandic, a word for the haziness of pre-dawn is sauoljost. It means "the time of day when there is just enough light to see your sheep" and My favorite German phrase about very strong winds is Wind ist erst, wenn die Schafe keine Locken mehr haben! It means "it's only wind when the sheep no longer have curls!"
