We should stop calling administrative warrants "warrants" because it suggests that there is some kind of procedural protection in place to avoid government abuse. There isn't. That's why it is so Orwellian for the Trump admin to claim ICE is relying on warrants to enter homes.

The house is holding the Clintons in contempt over Epstein but not Bondi. That’s where we are as a country. Harassing old retired people while the rapist in the White House gets away with covering up his own crimes

It's not surprising Corporal Bonespurs doesn't know how courageous and committed our allied troops were in Afghanistan (and elsewhere). The man is a coward and a fool, with no respect for anything except his own ego. I hope our British and Danish friends know most Americans are grateful to them.

Trump still has around 80% approval among Republicans. It is entirely incomprehensible to me how anyone can be so stupid. If you are still a Republican after 10 years of this idiot, you are a fucking moron. Plain and simple.

Trump's argument that Norway's government is responsible for the Nobel Committee stems from the same mistake underlying Putin's claim that US pro-democracy NGOs are CIA-controlled. Putin never lived in a civil society that isn't wholly government-controlled. Trump is too dumb to know the difference.

Precisely which law is it that authorizes the military to invade a foreign nation because the president's feefees got hurt?

Images of ICE in Minneapolis are familiar to those of us who follow events in autocratic regimes. Like Ukraine 2013, this is our Maidan moment: time to confront the billionaire oligarchs, time to face down their militarized riot cops, time for **we the people** to take back control of our democracy.

Assuming the country survives this ICE onslaught, we need to have a long and serious national conversation about demilitarizing police in general. There's no reason they need to be dressed in fatigues, wearing masks, and loaded up with weaponry. This is a free nation, not an occupied territory.

Threatening to attack Greenland only serves Russian interests. Not only does it strain NATO to the breaking point, but even without an actual attack, the mere existence of the threat forces Europeans to withhold defense resources that otherwise could go to Ukraine as a hedge against US aggression.

When you have the law on your side, pound the law. When you have the facts on your side, pound the facts. When you have neither the facts nor the law on your side, pound the table.
LEAVITT: Why was Renee Good unfortunately and tragically killed?

REPORTER: Because an ICE agent acted recklessly and killed her unjustifiably

LEAVITT: Oh, ok. So you're a biased reporters with a biased opinion. You're a left-wing hack.

If ICE agents are worried about getting run over, maybe they shouldn't be wearing fucking camo

This will be borderline meaningless so long as Aileen Cannon's idiotic order prohibiting discussion of his report remains in place. If not, Smith should risk her ire by speaking out about that report. No one should respect her decisions anyway because she is a dishonest, unqualified partisan hack.

The Dems need to push for another shutdown, but they need to do it the right way this time. Tie it to stopping ICE abuses. Don't use it for ordinary legislative leverage, which normalizes shutdowns and undermines the argument that they are taking extreme measures to address extreme provocations.

All this ICE activity in MN is just the beginning. They haven't ramped up spending to levels allocated to them by Trump's BBB.

Yale should revoke @jd-vance-1.bsky.social's law degree for spouting nonsense like claiming ICE officers have "absolute immunity." Any 1L knows better. It really makes me question the value of a law degree from an institution that doesn't even bother with grades.

There are 30,000 ICE agents and 1.3m lawyers in the US. That's 43 lawyers per agent. Let's start filing lawsuits every single day against every single agent until they start obeying the law. No more dragnets, no more attacking protestors, no more pepper spraying kids at school, no more murders.
January 10, 2026 at 9:34 AM
When ICE agents try to intimidate protestors by quoting irrelevant statutes like 18 USC §111, as they seem to have been coached to do, protestors should refer them to this case and tell them they will be held personally liable for their illegal threats. It's time to sue ICE agents out of existence.
The federal government Friday agreed to pay $125,000 after a judge found a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent liable for civil assault for pointing a gun at a hotel maintenance man who came to the agent’s room to unclog a toilet.

Trump got away with Maduro because Americans are not going to turn out to protest for such an awful person. That won't happen with Greenland. The American people and our elected representatives (as feckless as they may otherwise be) will not accept if Trump attacks our allies.
