Precedent only matters if SCOTUS will uphold it. SCOTUS will absolutely tell Cali it can't use their maps but when Texas does it, it's fine. Dems can still commit bribery; Republicans just get tipped. That's the issue.

I'd like to think that's true, but it's also an inevitability of capitalism. Capitalism is a system of exclusion designed to move all the money to one point, so someone has to get kicked out of the club constantly, and eventually the rich are too few to ignore the guillotines. 🤷♂️
