Oh absolutely. It’s so hard to balance the line between necessary and overkill on pain management so many of the docs are not wanting to take the risk of pills - but we can’t get other anesthesia either so it’s just 🤷🏼♀️

Exactly! Especially when it’s very easy to learn that other countries use anesthesia in their iud removals/installations. And also our medical system is obviously fucked so they are hampered by what insurance will cover, what they can offer in office, etc., but also no one is advocating for change…

YUP! Mine was sympathetic but basically shrugged and was like “we do what we gotta do”

When I got mine switched out, the nurse practitioner looked up at me and said “your face is a color I cannot describe right now” and I said “I’m gonna throw up on you and then passed out”
