wut. Now rewrite from Rust to Go using what you fixed/learned in the rewrite and see if you gain 70% back. Performance between Go and Rust is always negligible. Something must have been really wrong with your Go code/stack.

Shows just how many things could fail and be handled more gracefully closer to the source of the error in other languages I think.
