The primary project on which the postdoc will work is a federally-funded clinical trial in which patients with BPD will received personalized treatment based on their personality elevations. You would be a study assessor or therapist!

BPD Compass leads to significant improvements in neuroticism, agreeableness, and conscientious and effects were mostly medium and large.

Doesn’t matter if you use the PID-5, the BFI-2, or the FFBI.

For criterion A stans, LPFS improves significantly too

Personality Dimensions are, by definition, not categorical. They are processes that functionally maintain symptoms and can be targeted in treatment. So, this approach is complementary to process based therapies - just focusing on personality as the mechanism to target!

My student, Martina Fruhbauerova won the Morgan T. Sammons Doctoral Student Award for her project examining a mechanism-focused (hopelessness, perceived burdensomeness, and thwarted belongingness), single-session intervention for suicidal thoughts/behaviors!
