Currently I'm using mods to achieve this. However, if those mods were to ever stop being updated, I'm not sure I would find the will to keep playing. Random townies ruin the game experience so much.

My biggest desire in the Sims 4 is to have NPC management in the game settings... Being able to turn off random townies from spawning, and having the game use my own made over townies instead. That's the dream. Plus keeping sims in their own worlds too. I need this so much...

It's funny TS4 lets us micromanage everything except...the save management itself. I wish there was an option for the game to just STOP: stop generating townies, stop moving sims around, etc. I'm honestly scared of hitting play after prepping a save because I know things will start deteriorating

Honestly it wasn't the best proposal. I just had them do it during a camping trip to Granite Falls. It's been something I regret, since I know it could have been much better. Their wedding was so nice though. 😅

It doesn't get any better as it goes along either. Mostly it's just buying stuff, moving the toy around, and taking pointless pictures of it. 🙄😅

I feel like the Sims 3 has a nice balance between the two, gameplay wise. I can't be bothered with it though, cause it needs so many fixes, and it still doesn't doesn't run that great when they are done.

I do agree with this. I absolutely loved the Sims 2 when I used to play it, and I still love it now when I see other people play it. However, for me as I've grown older. I find I prefer that more cozy side of the Sims 4. I tried to play the Sims 2 a few months back, but I just couldn't get into it.

I think I cracked the reason why I miss TS2 when I play TS4, and I miss TS4 when I play TS2. They're basically opposite experiences to me and for that reason not one feels completely right. My theories below, but would love to hear yours too?

Absolutely they still have her, and she's just as mischievous as ever. All the same animals are still with them. Lily and Michael did get married, finally. They are currently on honeymoon in Sulani, and Patchy is at home taking care of the animals. 😅

This is hands down the most beautiful world we've ever got 🥹 It's so detailed with lots of gameplay objects scattered around. The open water areas are huge. I just wish they gave us the group hiking feature from SE, it would have been perfect here!

My game seems to work fine with DX11, no crashing, and for a while it did seem to run smoother, but now, now it just seems to have gone back to how it was before. The so called performance improvements, they are somehow making it worse for me. 🤔🤷‍♀️😅

Micro managing every detail, it seems more like a story telling thing, where as I'm here to play a game. I want my sims to make their own stories through gameplay, such as them making their own decisions via wants, and what they do with their autonomy.

I've honestly never really cared much for micromanaging anything, even with my sims I prefer them to use their own autonomy most of the time, unless they make bad decisions, which they unfortunately so often do in the Sims 4 without mods. 1/2...

Oh don't worry. I won't even touch Lily's save until I feel the game is in a better place functionality wise. I'm so tired of all these issues that ruin everything we've achieved. 😭

I'm curious if this is going to be being fixed? It's so sad to see people lose pictures and family history like this...

I don't even want to play my main save with all these issues. 😭
