My dad fought in WWII on the John Hancock. 1942-1946. A gunner. There were blackouts, rations, nobody had food. Before that my parents went thru the stock market crash ! 1929 the worst in history. Then my dad joined national guard for money! Was gone in Korea until 1953 It was very Difficult.
