DCVax-L increased the 4-year survival rate to 15.7% in the nGBM cohort v 9.9% in controls. In the rGBM cohort the #DCVax-L group showed a significantly higher mOS (13.2 m vs. 7.8 m).

A phase III trial has reported a significant survival benefit among patients with recurrent #GBM receiving #DCVax-L in combination with TMZ. This group achieved a median survival of 13.2 months compared to 7.8 months in the control group.

DCVax-L does not cherry-pick off-the-shelf antigens. DCVax-L targets ALL the cancer tumor antigens present in YOUR resected tumor. Tumor heterogeneity is an issue for vaccines that only target one or some.

Correction: Joel is now over 5 1/2 years since diagnosis and is still getting clear scans. He has been scanned regularly since his initial #glioblastoma #gbm diagnosis in 2020. He got #DCVax-L from Northwest Bio $NWBO in 2021.
