Many thanks Damian, It certainly is an impressive structure. It's made from sandstone blocks, these have weathered in rather a busy look. I darkened it down in post because of this.
It's a beautiful tower Damian built with red bricks. The workmen that built it must have been so skilled. The curve on the construction is so impressive. The other tower alongside it is more your typical concrete construction.
I so enjoyed these photographs and reading your description of them Iain. It's so important that there's a record of this way of life, that is sadly disappearing at an alarming rate.
