Put yourself in the shoes of a superintendent/ college leader in a purple or red district, who has to deal with GOP legislatures and local elected officials. They all respond to their incentive structure.

I think administrators are not the core problem, they are more of a symptom of deeper issues in society.

I've seen this in local K-12. The problem there are mostly the parents though, there is an element of paranoia and you have a whole army of people who are fully willing to make an administrator's life hell if they feel their precious children are exposed to something they disagree with.

This looks like an opportunistic reaction aimed at scapegoating another trans person.

I really don't like how she pushes off the accountability. She was in power for 16 years and has shown very little strategic foresight, or strategic leadership, in regard to energy policy vis-a-vis Russia or national defense.

It makes you want to tear your hair out.
