He won’t have to sell out trans people or abortion rights, or immigrants or do any of the horrifying triangulation that “moderating” usually comes with. He’d just have to call out oligarchy from a place of common human decency. There are plenty of bible verses to quote to make that kind of point.

Then have that guy talk about how obscene it is that Nancy Pelosi and her colleagues on the right and the left are making millions in Congress.

Dems need a strongly pro-union “independent” who can speak to Christian voters convincingly.

Dem centrism reads as empty ambition to the majority of voters. That’s why they stay home in Texas. We need someone with convictions who can fight the party. But they should fight elites, not populists.

Running the most centrist Dem in Texas is a demonstrably losing strategy.

We need a progressive, strongly pro-Union Dem who talks like a devout Christian. They should be forceful enough in their convictions to bring non-voters off the bench.
