This paper gives an interesting texture, but definitely isn’t best for what I do. The colors are coming off very, very light. That being said, here is my work in progress for today.

It’s amazing how soft the palette looks on this paper, combined with the graphite.

So this has been an interesting experiment. I’m using new paper (oil and acrylic rather than my French paper) and it isn’t really absorbing the color of my markers the same. Basically, my pastel markers are looking even more pastel. I’ve chosen to shade with pencil. Excited to see the final product.

I was trying to go with a gradient for the background, but it’s not quite working. I might just make the top the same darker blue.
