I actually read things in July! I wholeheartedly recommend all the fiction, and The War of Art was a kick in the pants I needed!

New hobby! I recently found this reusable clay in a box and decided to try a face. It looks nothing like the model, but I still very much love it!

Completely forgot about reading because these last 2 weeks have been brutal for braining. No reading, just vibes.

Even so, here’s what I read this month.

I especially loved Màgodìz and A Misfortune of Lake Monsters, and the non-fiction were very informative.

My contribution to Mermay. You’re welcome.

Sometimes it’s the little things. I haven’t graduated to sourdough yet, but soon!!

I haven’t read in the last week, but I still managed a decent showing this month! Mostly audiobooks, a lot of non-fiction, not a dud among them:

Brought an assortment of activities, though I’ll probably sleep.

A good reading month! A good amount and FANTASTIC books, most of them. (I do not get Nietzche, I’ll admit it.)

Name a vampire that isn’t Dracula.

I’m going SO old school. Anyone else remember this book? I reread it a lot as a teen, and I loved Valan. Was it good? I have no idea. But I loved it, and that’s good enough for me.

@ashheardwrites.bsky.social Bingo! This is such a fun card, I’m going to keep working on it!

I’ve had some really good writing sessions recently and I think I might try to get some WIPs out the door, here, soon.

Whew! The book expo was quite… inspiring! I had preordered about half of these and the rest were irresistible. Had a great time chatting with authors and readers. ❤️ Really loving The Shirt Factory and @blackwalnutbooks.bsky.social

February is over, apparently? Oddly, I completed only nonfiction this month. I loved Sand Talk, I would go so far as to say it has encouraged me to reevaluate my worldview in important ways. I wasn’t in the right place for the other two, but they were worth finishing.

If you want someone to block, may I suggest this? Do I have FOMO? No, I have rage.

I’m tired. It’s only Wednesday. It’s barely February. Have an adorable break, I hope it helps you rally.

It was an unusual reading month for me. I typically read one or two books but there was a lot of driving, so, a lot of time for audiobooks. Not one dud among them, they ranged from very good to mind-blowing.

If you see this quote with flowers from your gallery.

There was some serious scrolling to find this. My Christmas (?) cactus in all its glory. Not remotely at Christmas.

Timeline cleanse. Quote reskeet a pet, plant, calm landscape, anything photo you took or art you did that makes you happy.

Happy murder boy.

I buy books but I don’t collect many. I just don’t have the space for it. So when I tell you I asked for these for the holiday, to keep on my shelves, that is a big deal.

Had to ink up a new pen for the new year. I like having two colors going anyhow. The Tornado was one of my first pens, and one of my favorites! It’s hefty and just a tiny bit scratchy. It’s not for everyone, but I like the feedback. Trying the shimmery Emeraude de Chivor and hoping it doesn’t clog.
