Hello, today, July 29, 2025, marks the first anniversary of the start of my family's online donation campaign, especially via Blue Sky. Today, I will write to you my memoirs about how it started exactly a year ago. First, I am from Rafah. I was displaced from my home on May 6, 2024. I came here to the Mawasi area, carrying nothing but some blankets, mattresses, 6 pieces of wood, and two tarpaulins. We are a family of 13 people: me, my wife, my three sons, my brother, his pregnant wife, his three sons, my mother, and my sister. I arrived at the Mawasi camp with only $1,300. During the first days, I spent $500 on buying wood, tarpaulins, and some other things. After I settled down, I started thinking about how long we would stay in this camp and what our future would be exactly. Of course, I did not reach a conclusion. I had a Palestinian friend from Gaza named Nour. We used to talk almost every day. She asked me once, "Do you have money?" I said, "I do, but I don't have much." She said, "What do you think about me sending you an amount?" Of course, I refused completely. Two days later, She said to me, do you know the Blue Sky app? I said no. She said, do you know the GFM website? I said no. She said, listen. I said, what? She said, download the app and I will start with you step by step. The next day, she created an account for me on the Blue Sky @pp. I started as if I The first person I spoke to was a woman named Kija from Finland. She was a kind and wonderful person. After about a week, Kija spoke to a woman named Miranda that there was a person from Gaza who wanted to help. The next day, I spoke with Miranda. She is really an iron girl. In just two days, she brought a girl named Meiv. Meiv is the one who did almost everything for me. After just 24 hours, I had a link to a donation campaign. This was on July 29, 2024. Here, my journey to save my family from poverty, hunger, and displacement began. When I started, my goal was to collect money to leave Gaza and buy land, a farm, and sheep in Egypt. But with the development of events and the imposition of the suffocating siege on us, my goal changed to just buying food and staying alive for as long as possible. During this year, I collected more than From $50,000/which is enough to start a new life outside Gaza / but a lot of money was spent here just to buy food / I thought about human nature to live for today and let the future do what it wants // During this hunger I started planting some crops in a small plot of land next to my tent, which was later known as the small farm. I planted crops at the beginning of last winter. I planted radishes, arugula, peas, and onions. During this summer I planted squash, okra, peppers, and eggplant. I ate from my crops many times, and the farm had a moral benefit. I practiced my original craft that I used to work in before the war of extermination. // benefit.
