It's genocide. This isn't just defending the procedures with state insurance, it's making them illegal entirely. No other bill has gone quite that far yet. The bill is unlikely to pass (I hope) but it goes to show how insanely far right the overton window has shifted.

The bill also prohibits HRT:

"puberty suppression or blocking prescription drugs to stop or delay normal puberty"

"supraphysiologic doses of testosterone to females"

"supraphysiologic doses of estrogen to males"

that perception is inconsistent with the person's biological sex, a physician or health care provider may not knowingly:"

And then it lists the procedures, which are basically ALL gender affirming surgeries, including mastectomy, orchiectomy, vaginoplasty, hysterectomy, etc
