‘What is your favourite place in Sheffield?’

Inspired by Peter Blundell Jones’ exhibition at the University of Sheffield, we want to know which part of the city holds a special place in your heart.

His design presents a detailed model of Sheffield in 1900, transporting you back in time.
One of the factories displays on the model, with a tall chimney and detailed windows included. A close look at one of the buildings in the model, standing out above a raft of smaller structures around it. A wide-shot of the design, with a full Sheffield from 1900 made from scaled white parts. Looking down one of the roads in the design, with notable lampposts lining the street with buildings on both sides.

Congratulations to Sheffield’s very own Matt Fitzpatrick on winning the Ryder Cup with Team Europe!

He picked up 2.5 points on the way to the victory over the weekend!

Europe won in the States for just the fifth time in history.

Well done Matt!

It is not every day that you see a Formula 4 car in the Winter Gardens.

But, last week the car of Sheffield’s own Rowan Campbell-Piling was on display in one of the city’s great attractions.

Take a look at the car in its unusual surroundings.
