She Kept Me, a memoir about a woman who escaped from an unwed mother's home with her baby. Set in 1953, when abortion and contraception were illegal, the injustices she experienced portend the dystopian era we live in. My mother needed an abortion. I didn't need to be born.

America cannot long remain free, nor first among nations, if it becomes the kind of place where universities are dismantled because they don't align politically with the current head of the government.

The recall process needs to be extended to Federal officials including the President. A corrupt Legislative body had a chance to remove a corrupt president and didn't.

We need a Constitutional amendment to allow the people to remove a President (and his VP and cabinet).

Who agrees?

I'm writing a memoir, She Kept Me, as an illegitimate child in 1953. Forced to give birth in an unwed mother's home, my mother escaped with me. My birth father joined the Air Force to avoid responsibility. Her family threw her out. How did we fare? Are we on a course for a return to this era?
