My three original ponies - they came over from England with us on our move. When I go out to check on them, last thing at night, the things I see are amazing!

This is my life now. I watch the sky and study clouds. My peace is complete - sometimes broken by my animals doing something daft and worrying me, but apart from that, no stress, no hassle, just the sky.

A little more than a year ago, chatting to a friend about a book I wrote and was re-editing, he said to send it to him. I sent it and thought no more about it. Next thing I know, Filament has published Ash and the Favour Man AND entered it into a competition! The People’s Book Prize for Fiction ❤️
