PVBM005 (Pink Vanguard x Buoy Master). Nice plant, remains upright, flowers vary somewhat and are semi-double, but alway very large. Some years they are more double than others. Now is the perfect time to divide and share with a breast cancer paitent. Peonies are for sharing!

Introduced by Meilland International in 1983 and named in honor of Swiss watchmaker Yves Piaget, Yves Piaget® is a richly scented hybrid tea rose from the ROMANTICA® collection. Mor information in Alt text.
Its peony-style, ruffled deep-pink blooms span up to 5 inches across, with around 80 petals per flower. Known for its luxurious old-rose fragrance with hints of citrus, this compact, upright shrub is a standout in both garden beds and floral arrangements.

Portland Rose Festival’s 2025 official rose.

‘Time to Shine’ was created by hybridizer Christian Bedard, who has been recognized by the American Rose Society for his beautiful, fragrant and disease-resistant roses.The medium-tall ‘Time to Shine’ rose plant produces flowers with a strong, fruity fragrance. ‘Time to Shine’ is available only through Portland Nursery at 5050 S.E. Stark St. (503-231-5050) and 9000 S.E. Division St. (503-788-9000; portlandnursery.com). The cost for each potted rose plant is $44.99, which includes Portland Nursery’s donation of $2 to the nonprofit Portland Rose Festival Foundation for each “Time to Shine” rose bush sold.

‘Heart of Portland’
A classic hybrid tearose has been selected as the Portland Rose Festival’s 2024 official rose and is the latest in a long line of the festival’s fundraising collector edition roses.

The elegant ‘Heart of Portland’ with medium-even red petals was created by hybridizer Christian Bedard, who has been recognized by the American Rose Society for his beautiful, fragrant and disease-resistant roses. Bedard introduced the new rose through California grower Weeks Roses. ‘Heart of Portland’ produces a moderate fruity fragrance with medium-large flowers.
