The Food and Drug Administration is suspending a quality control program for testing of fluid milk and other dairy products due to reduced capacity in its food safety and nutrition division, according to an internal email seen by Reuters.

My birthday was actually late into the start of a very overwhelming time, but with an Easter/20 drop and Maternal Day sale in the lineup, I hope it’ll make up for the delay.

Just opened substack last night for the first time, no one said it was out here looking like tumblr??

I’m not sure I need Ko-Fi at this point. Gotta decide if Shellyss Studio doing community memberships on Ko-Fi and recurring square items, or substack for digital square for physical.

If I had a philosophy to uphold in my community building it’d be:

The world is hard enough, people already so likely to cause harm by surviving. Infuse kindness often. If you can hold intentional and genuine kindness and honesty, you can help to balance human struggles in your own way.

Hiatus Info!

Below the photo reads the following: Winter studio update: hiatus! Happy holidays y’all! As usual, I’ll be hibernating this winter. This year, I’m having hellish and long flare-ups and must retreat and restore after this last project. But I have updates! I’ll be prepping opportunities to collect and subscribe to my work over hibernation. I have lots of physical and digital work to do to build the collections and set the foundation. I hope to open subscriptions by late February. (Two photos show: on the left the texture of a carved and glazed pot. On the right, a digital drawing of my ‘turtlesaur’ community tier for subscriptions.) I’m also planning batches of preferred items. My most recent ceramic project, right at the start of glazing. This commission will be the last for a while.
On the left, a patty pan squash-shaped teapot can be seen with a segmented branch-shaped handle. The body of the teapot is yellow-brown, with a green handle and pourover lip visible, and the lid painted with a clear glaze that dries opaque white before firing. On the right, a watermelon slice centerpiece can be seen with a middle cutout for holding napkins, and seed holes for holding cut flowers. This piece has three lids for accessing the inside to add water or store other items, and seed shapes strewn across the piece. The body is the same yellow-brown as the teapot, with a white pith, varied green rind, and purple-grey seeds. The same centerpiece from the first photo, now in focus to show the watermelon flesh texture and spotlight the details in the piece.
