Welcome to the literary crypt of Sheridan Caldwell — where the shadows talk back and every chapter leaves claw marks. These are stories for people who know something's always watching, waiting... or worse, laughing.

Reading this Ed Gein book while I eat breakfast. No problems at all. “Officers found a shoebox full of dried vulvas.” Oh interesting.

“They found Bernice Wooden hanging like a dressed-out deer, still steaming.” Man that’s something. (chomp chomp)

Whenever I see mention of Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery," I'm reminded of a post I made after first reading it. To the effect of "wow, that is mind-blowing and I love it." Almost immediately, a good acquaintance commented "I hate that story and you're sick for liking it."

Their loss!

I just finished this book in a single sitting. Absolutely loved it! One of the best I’ve read in a while.

My only regret is I read it now, at home, instead of when camping on the shores of Lake Huron in the UP of Michigan.
My #gothic #horror, The Dance of Rotten Sticks, continues to rack up solid reviews from #booksky 📚💙 folks and beyond.

Its sequel, Shadows of the Witness Tree, is coming together nicely with some fun surprises for me.

Get in on this #horrorbook for as low as $2.99!

Casually browsing some writing prompts to kill time.

“Somebody clones Hitler and raises him as a white supremacist.”

So… how’s that differ from reality? 🤔

My name is Sheridan. I specialize in supernatural thrillers. The kind that don't necessarily scare, but provide a sense of unease of what may be. Grew up watching campy horror movies and reading Stephen King.
