i really wanted to create something very calming and peaceful.

my favorite part is where the pink flowed into the green like little tendrils.

i have been getting more urges to drift away from strictly colorfield experiments.

that feels exciting and kind of scary.

this time with some highly anticipated new paints.
not sure i like the paints at all in this context. the color coverage is lower than expected and the texture is a bit gummy.

i do like the bit in the lower left where the pink/purple bleeds into the green with a root-like form.

i might prefer to tone down the pink a bit.

i am falling in love with the process of creating these paintings.

pink and green together make my heart sing. throw in metallic gold and i get giddy.

they feel full of ease, peace, safety, beauty, and spirit.

painting them feels like a refuge from this heartbreaking world.

the gold shows up as brownish on my scanner, so you'll have to use your imagination.
