The daughter sent a very nice picture of the grandcat.

We got to Leavenworth early on Friday--a couple of hours later it was too people-y.

Chicken vegetable soup, with cheddar bread. I cook, I bake, but I find the most joy in a well-composed soup.

I hope the veterans know how very much their presence is noticed and appreciated.

I liked this so much I used it on my protest sign yesterday. A young man carrying a "Semper Fi" sign thanked me for it. Trump wasn't a conscientious objecter, he wasn't working in a strategic field, he was a rich coward--and it is an insult to our veterans and active duty military.

I turned off NPR. I listened to some obnoxious rock music instead (I rarely listen to music). I drove out to the Columbia Gorge waterfalls, where at times I was the only car I could see on the old scenic highway. I looked at three waterfalls. It was kinda great.
