I get AI scam offers daily to promote Chaos Wolf (book 1) and Chaos Kin (book 3). I'll even get occasional offers to promote Chaos Unleashed (freebie novelette if you sign up to my email). But I never get offers to promote Chaos Hunt (book 2). It's like nobody knows it exists.

I went to the opening of A Novel Affair in Los Altos. While there I ran into authors R. L. Merrill and met Brittany Arreguin. I'm so happy there's another independent bookstore in the area!

I’m pretty sure the email saying a book of mine being nominated for their club’s “boom of the year” is a scam. Why? They address me in their congratulations email by my last name. Oh, and my cowriter and I are still in the developmental editing process. The book hasn’t been publicly released

Nothing makes me so nervous as putting together a set of cat stairs for my older cats and realizing that there is a leftover bolt. I did a quick double check and it appears I do have the mythical extra bolt.

So I broke my bed (not in the fun way) and just as the repair guy showed up, we lost power to the entire block. Earthquake lanterns to the rescue.
