Oh yes, the story of a team winning at about the same rate that it has the past four years is definitely a more compelling story than a team that won 14 games all season two years ago becoming the best team in the conference. Good take.

Cause they really ought to just shorten the season to make the regular season more relevant, but that'd cost too much money so instead they just do gimmicks.

Nice work Keith. Everything is on point, I'd just add one thing - they gotta get Dumars and Weaver out of there. That was a terrible front office hire at the time, and they've only validated their incompetence.

He can't defend stretch bigs, never has been able to. Can't defend the p&r. Doesn't provide help defense. Of his four fouls last night, one was a turnover and the other three gave 8(!) free throws. It's absurd.

I think of Franklin's quote about the form of gov being a republic or monarchy, "a republic, if you can keep it." And the idea of America as "the great experiment" where Europe all thought a democracy with a president was nuts. Turns out we couldn't keep it and the experiment failed.
